Lazy Days Lodge is located on the southern shores of Rainbow Lake on a quiet protected cove with a private beach. This private lake is sparsely populated and its northern shores are protected parkland. The 3-mile-long Rainbow lake is connected to other lakes to form dozens of miles of explorable shoreline. The center of Rainbow Lake features one of the best examples of a "Hogs Back" or glacial esker -- a narrow strip of land created from the sediment of a river under the ice of a receding glacier.

Rainbow lake allows power boats to private residents. There is no direct public access, keeping boat traffic to a minimum in order to maintain a serene setting for swimmers, paddlers, and wildlife. Additionally, Lazy Days Lodge is situated on a quiet cove to keep small children safe on their own private beach and dock.
